Aerial view of the Puerto Morelos coast with turquoise reef waters – airport transfer to Iberostar Riviera Cancun

Transportation to Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun from Cancun Airport

Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun opened in November 2025, which makes it one of the newest all-inclusive resorts on the Puerto Morelos coast, and its address puts it squarely in that zone, postal code Puerto Morelos 77580. The drive from Cancun International Airport runs around 30 minutes, on the shorter end of what you can expect across our Puerto Morelos routes.

Canada Transfers sends a private vehicle for your group only, tracks your flight, and takes you straight from arrivals to the resort entrance. For full route pricing and every vehicle option, see our Cancun Airport to Puerto Morelos page.

The same resort can mean a very different airport setup for a couple in a swim-up suite than for a family sharing a larger room. The rates below let you choose by usable space rather than room category; each option is a private Cancun Airport transfer to Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun, with capacity increasing for extra people, child gear, or checked luggage.

Getting to Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun

Your driver takes Highway 307 south from the airport and turns off toward the coast at the resort's marked entrance, well before reaching Puerto Morelos town itself. Because the resort only recently opened, some guests worry the road or the property will still show signs of construction. It will not.

The resort has been welcoming guests since late 2025, and the access road is the same paved entrance used by the other properties along this stretch of coast. Canada Transfers monitors arrival flights and waits for the plane to land when a flight is delayed.

A new resort built for both families and couples

At 444 suites, Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun is a large property, and the room mix reflects two different kinds of trip at once. Families booking connecting or multi-bed suites have space up to roughly 1,280 square feet to work with, while couples looking for something quieter can book one of the swim-up suites with direct access to a semi-private pool or a corner suite with sweeping ocean views. That range is the resort's clearest differentiator on this stretch of coast: it is not built exclusively around a kids' club or exclusively around a honeymoon; it is designed to run both experiences under one roof without either group feeling like an afterthought.

The resort runs six restaurants and four bars, including a Spanish restaurant, an Italian spot, a Mexican kitchen, and a wood-fired pizzeria, plus a Star Café and an ice cream parlor that matter more than they sound like they would once you have a tired kid at 4 pm. There are five pools on the property, including one reserved for the higher-tier Star Prestige rooms, and a Star Camp kids' club for the families who want a few hours to themselves. Being one of the newest builds in the area also means the beachfront and pool furniture have not yet gone through years of sun and salt, which is a small thing until you are the one sitting in it.

The resort sits on the same reef system that runs the length of Puerto Morelos, so snorkeling gear from the activities desk gets you into the water without booking a boat, and it is a short drive from the Ruta de los Cenotes if anyone in your group wants a freshwater swim on a day off the beach.

Planning the transfer to a newer Puerto Morelos resort

Because Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun is still a relatively new property, using the full hotel name matters. There are several Iberostar resorts along the Riviera Maya, and a shortened name can create unnecessary confusion when a driver is confirming the destination. Put the exact resort name from the booking confirmation into the transfer reservation.

The hotel serves both families and couples, so luggage needs can vary widely. A couple in a swim-up suite may arrive with two cases, while a family in a larger suite can bring a stroller, child seat, beach gear, and several checked bags.

Choosing the right transfer for your room type and group

Do not choose a vehicle based on room occupancy alone. Families sharing a large suite can still have more luggage than the passenger count suggests, and couples staying longer may travel with several large cases. Add oversized items or child equipment to the reservation before arrival.

On departure day, confirm the hotel name again if the group has visited or stayed at another Iberostar property during the trip. The airport pickup should be tied to Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun specifically, not simply 'Iberostar Riviera Maya.'

Reserve your transfer

Because Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun is a newer property in an area with several Iberostar names, the reservation starts with identification rather than assumptions. Copy the full resort name from the confirmation, add the flight, and then describe the party: a couple in a swim-up room may travel light, while a family suite can mean a stroller, child equipment, and several checked cases.

Before the vehicle is assigned, we verify:

  • Full current hotel name: “Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun” is used instead of a shortened Riviera Maya reference.
  • Group type and baggage: Room category does not determine transfer size; luggage and child equipment do.
  • Flight-linked arrival: The airport meeting follows the actual landing time if the flight schedule changes.
  • Final-night pickup point: If you visit another Iberostar during the trip, the return reservation still names the hotel where the airport journey begins.

The transfer is confirmed and paid online ahead of travel. After customs, continue to the airport arrivals exit and look for Canada Transfers staff holding a company sign for the direct drive to the resort.

Frequently asked questions

My confirmation shortens the name to “Iberostar Riviera Cancun.” What should I enter on the transfer reservation?

Use the full current name, Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun. Iberostar operates several properties along the Riviera Maya, so the complete name from your booking confirmation is the clearest way to prevent the driver from matching your reservation to the wrong resort.

We booked a large family suite. Does that mean one of the smaller transfer vehicles will automatically be enough?

No. Hotel room capacity and vehicle cargo capacity are different. A family sharing one suite may still bring a stroller, child seat, beach gear, and several full-size suitcases, so luggage should be counted separately from the number of travelers.

We are staying in a swim-up or Star Prestige category. Does that change the airport drop-off point?

No. Those room categories are within Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun, so the airport transfer still goes to the resort’s main arrival area. Use the room category only as an extra note if it helps with check-in coordination after the vehicle reaches the property.

We are visiting another Iberostar resort during the trip. Which property should be used for the return pickup?

Use the hotel where you are actually sleeping on the final night and specify Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun if that is the departure point. Do not use a general “Iberostar Riviera Maya” label, because multiple properties along Highway 307 can match that description.
